Defensible Buffer

High Fire Risk
Your First Line Of Defense
When wildfire strikes, embers can travel miles ahead of the main fire front. If your property lacks a defensible space buffer, those embers can easily ignite dead vegetation right up to your doorstep.
- Removes ladder fuels that carry ground fires into the canopy
- Meets strict Colorado insurance provider requirements
- Creates safe access for emergency fire personnel
- Improves the health of remaining mature trees
- Dramatically increases the survival rate of your home
The 3 Zones of Defensible Space
We follow strict forestry standards to strategically thin vegetation based on its proximity to your structures.
Zone 1: 0-5 ft
The Non-Combustible Zone
Hardscaping and total removal of flammable vegetation immediately touching the home. We ensure no branches overhang your roof or deck.
Zone 2: 5-30 ft
The Lean, Clean & Green Zone
Aggressive thinning. We remove dead wood, low-hanging branches (ladder fuels), and space out remaining trees to prevent crown fires from spreading.
Zone 3: 30-100+ ft
The Reduced Fuel Zone
Forestry mulching to clear dense underbrush and small saplings. This slows an approaching fire and reduces its intensity before it reaches Zone 2.
